3 ¶ [a]Then came unto him the Pharisees tempting him, and saying to him, Is it lawful for a man to [b]put away his wife upon every occasion?
4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, (A)that he which made them at the beginning, made them male and female,
5 And said, (B)For this cause, shall a man leave father and mother, and [c]cleave unto his wife, and they which were [d]two, shall be one flesh?
